- If a rider doesn’t arrive at the pickup location within 2 minutes, you’ll have the option to cancel and the cancelation fee will apply for this particular rider.
- Additionally, your driver rating will not be impacted if you receive a negative rating from an UberX Share rider due to a pick-up, bad route, or co-rider issue. Your Choice, No Penalties.

- UberX Share allows no more than up to three separate riders to take their single trips in your vehicle.
- As always, all riders will be required to uphold Uber’s Community Guidelines, so your focus can be on the road ahead
How UberX Share works
- UberX Share works as UberX: you’ll see a request for UberX Share in the app for your first rider, and the ride option is displayed at the top of the offer card.
2. You’ll be notified if another rider is added to your trip, and your route will update automatically. UberX Share always searches for ways to pick up more riders for you to earn more.
3. If a rider doesn’t arrive at the pickup location within 2 minutes, you’ll have the option to cancel and the cancelation fee will apply for this particular rider.
Note: If you cancel the whole x share request for all the subsequent riders then it will be calculated towards your cancellation rate.
UberX Share vs Navigation
With Uber navigation, the addition of new passengers will result in an immediate recalculation of your route. However, if you are using another navigation, remember to disable the “Navigation during uberPOOL rides” slider shown above in the navigation settings in the Uber Driver app (see the picture below).
Take into account that UberX Share is grouped with UberX in Preferences. If you’re opted in for UberX you will automatically get requests for Share.
