About the Role

We are looking for a Program Manager to join the Global Scaled Solutions (GSS) team as we embark on the next rocket ship. Program Managers move fluidly from thinking about big-picture solutions to having a strong handle on small details so the team can seamlessly deliver on strategic cross-functional projects impacting scale, often with tight deadlines. You are a bridge and a connector for the team contributing to high-impact, high-visibility projects that keep us moving forward!

You are organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and driven to set the standard and deliver excellent results. The right person will thrive in an "all hands on deck" environment, loves optimizing for efficiency, and isn't afraid to roll up the sleeves and dive deep into the process to understand gaps. Once the gaps are identified, the person will be able to find solutions that can be implemented with speed and work on long-term fixes in parallel which could be both technology and/or process-oriented. No task is beneath you and no question is difficult to ask. You resonate with Uber values such as Go Get It and Trip Obsessed while you See the forest and the trees and Do the right thing.

Program Management

Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify business requirements, articulate the right sourcing strategy for the requirement across multiple channels of engagement and provide feedback both upstream and downstream about challenges and nuances enquired.

Operational Efficiency

Identify gaps and risks to the organization and operational efficiencies. Create programs, processes, and policies to drive improvements. Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the organization by being a trusted advisor, facilitator, and creative problem solver. Implement continuous improvements to the organization and the process

Execution

Drive the execution of operational programs, projects, and initiatives. Handle issue escalations and proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress

Set and scale new pilot projects, write detailed SOPs, identify process challenges along with tool improvements

Financial and Headcount Management

Maintain the commercial details across all streams and as well as expenditure on various projects. Use that information to influence sourcing selection strategies

Communication

Lead the communications strategy for your programs. Ensure information flows clearly and efficiently to enable teams. Balance getting decisions on anecdotal information and moving fast for short term wins as well as making long term proposals based on methodical analysis and aligning senior leadership for next steps

  1. Minimum of 5+ years experience as a program manager in a tech and/or start up environment and managing scaled operations
  2. Understanding of project management principles
  3. Able to drive insights based on information from disparate sources
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding emotional intelligence
  5. Ability to influence and empower people across a variety of job functions through your relationships
  6. Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to balance many tasks without losing sight of the highest-priority items
  7. Strong bias towards action. You drive end-to-end results and are always thinking ahead
  8. Obsessive attention to detail and you are constantly looking for ways to tweak and optimize for better results
  9. Advanced use of G Suite tools
  10. Basic knowledge of SQL

  1. Worked at a high-paced, fast-growing tech startup, large tech company, or has a consulting background
  2. You have collected, structured and analyzed data to drive key insights
  3. Intermediate knowledge of SQL.
